Smarty Pants

Things my boy has figured out in his life...

-he was crawling at 5 months
-and walking at 81/2 months
-Running at 9 months
-Climbing at 10 months
-1 year old - He was a rascally big brother from day 1 of his sister's life
-He would climb up the side of Kylie's bassinet to try to see her or pound her
I'm not sure which - but he almost tipped her over a hundred times
-He learned how to climb out of his crib and into Kylie's crib
where he proceeded to annoy her more - It apparently is not very hard for a 2 month old to be annoyed by a 1 year old!
-We had to get these crib tent things and pretty much lock Brayden into his crib!
-It wasn't long before he started to open and close the doors - resulting in lots of pinched fingers. Ouch
We found a child lock that would lock the door open so he couldn't do that anymore.
-All the kitchen doors had child locks on them - cause the boy wouldn't just find one bowl to play with - he would pull out everything!

He knew all his letters when he was just two -- and knew most of his Phonics sounds when he was three --- And By 4 1/2 was starting to read and trying to spell words on his own with tons of success! He is just super smart! And retains information like no one I know!

Now that Brayden is 4 - almost 5 - He can pretty much figure out how to do anything that he sees Jeb or I do - except for the fact that he is 4 - & hasn't quite mastered how to accomplish things with out making a giant mess or destroying something in the process....

There was a week this year where these messes occurred all in the span of a few days!

Brayden's Curious recipe for disaster...

1 gallon milk
1 gallon kool aid
1 Bottle of sprite
1/2 gallon of paint
1 jar of peanut butter
1 bottle of juice
1 jar of Grandmother's Home made Jam
Lots of bananas

instructions

please poor full gallon jug and full gallon pitcher of kool aid onto mom's new carpet (make sure the kool aid is red) Go ahead and pour the whole 2 liter bottle of sprite out too.
Next please somehow pry open the 5 gallon can of paint that the workers left out fro you the day before ( you know the bucket that Mom can't even open) Pour about a half gallon of that into the new carpet as well... Next please spread the whole jar of peanut butter all over the toy room window and all over you clothes... Mom will really enjoy that - Don't forget to pour yourself an entire bottle of apple juice into a cup that will never hold all that juice so that it will overflow on the same carpet that you poured all the other liquids onto... and to top it all of please eat an entire jar of homemade jam while wiping your messy hands on the carpet and couches. Oh and don't forget to grab an entire bunch of bananas and eat them and leave the banana peels in secret hiding places for mom to find at a later date.
Please enjoy all of this with a smile on your face - because you have no idea how much trouble you are going to be in when mom wakes up or get done using the bathroom or changing the baby's diaper.... etc.

This boy can figure anything out - any child lock any real lock ---

We used to joke with our friends that if they wanted their house to be baby proofed - all they would have to do is keep Brayden for about 2 hours - and the whole house would have to be child proofed by the end of his stay ---

Brayden you never cease to amaze us - what will you do next??!!
